A Few Days Later.
While in Hospital Michelle had already started looking for venues for our now rearranged marriage, I had started too also but a Hospital bed wasn't the place to plan or think for myself clearly. It would be easier once I was home.
Michelle has been amazing trying to organise the wedding while I still felt useless. We agree to get married at the Registry office in Birmingham and take our completed forms in. We are seen very efficiently and our wedding day is booked for 17th December 2021. We leave the building happy and in the next few day's also confirm Becketts Farm and Restaurant as our venue for the reception.
Now we have a busy few months to plan the Wedding and also for me to actually start the treatment that is hopefully going to extend my life. The wedding and treatment I'm hoping will give me a new focus and help me on my Cancer journey.
During my recovery I'm also told I need to start putting weight back on. This is for me to be strong enough for the Chemotherapy and the fight to come. My best running weight was around the 11 Stone mark, My healthy weight despite scoffing bags of Haribo would be 11 Stone 7 lbs.
Unfortunately the day after I leave Hospital my weight is 9 Stone 8 lbs. My lowest ever adult weight, It gets me down and I see how skinny I have actually become. I don't even look well in my face.

So today I find out my Chemotherapy will start on 17th September with a new patient chat on the 14th and to also be shown around the Oncology day unit that I will be attending every 3rd Friday.
Today is also the day we visit TDR to look at hiring some suits. TDR
So myself, my Best man Rich, My Dad and Michelle's lad join me at the shop.
As a bloke I find it pretty quick to decide what suit I'd like to hire and we are sorted and deposit paid and out the shop in under an hour. If only the other wedding decisions could be made this easy for me.
