The Colonoscopy!!

17/06/2021
So after drinking the worst laxatives imaginable the day of the Colonoscopy is finally here. Something I'd never ever want to drink again and should be kept for prisoners for daily use!.

I wake up in the morning feeling scared and tell Michelle I feel like something is seriously wrong and it's not going to be good news today.
Michelle comforts me the best she can do.

I arrive at the Hospital ready for the Colonoscopy, It's a Covid secure Hospital so Michelle can only sit & wait for me while I'm called.
I get changed into the most unflattering surgical shorts exposing my entire arsehole to the unit.
The canular is prepared & I walk myself into the room in my dinosaur slippers.
The Colonoscopy starts and it is very uncomfortable and despite been under sedation I can feel everything, After struggling for about 20 minutes of trying the consultant stops as he can't get a clear picture with the reasons about to be explained to me.
So the consultant tells me there and then that their is a tumour in my bowel, I ask if it's cancerous & get the reply that I was dreading that it most likely is, I can tell from his face and tone that he has seen enough tumours to know it is Cancer, He arranges for biopsies and CT Scan for a better picture as the tumour was blocking my backside.
I broke down in tears just wanting Michelle, Somehow my fears from this morning that it was serious come true.
